During one year - March 2024 to March 2025 - Projekt Groda 2024 has worked to 👀inspect👀 the Computer Science Chapter from different perspectives, to get a picture of current sustainability status and -work. We've looked at how money is spent, examined information availability, asked functionaries to make sustainability reports, and more.

Now the result is available for all of you! 🐸😍👀 Sadly only in swedish... But feel free to translate the report and ask us any questions!

We are currently looking for some enthusiastic individuals who are ready to join established groups in the spex. You can choose to apply to both the Arr group and the Makeup & Hair group, or just one of them.

But what do you do in the groups?

In the Arr group, you get the opportunity to learn more about event planning and writing sheet music for live music.

In the Makeup & Hair group, you will help ensure that everyone who will be on stage, including actors, dancers, and choir, looks as fabulous as possible.

This Friday, the Swedish National Hacking Team qualification round kicks off! 🚀 The top participants from the qualifier will advance to a final competition at Bosön, Lidingö, where the national team will be selected. The team will then represent Sweden in the European Cyber Security Challenge 2025, which this year will be held in Warsaw, Poland. 🌍

The competition will follow a CTF format, where you solve various challenges to earn points and climb the scoreboard. The challenges consist of programs and systems that you need to analyze and exploit to find flags! 🚩

Categories:

• Web - Hack vulnerable web applications 🌐
• Reverse Engineering - Analyze and understand programs 🕵️
• Pwn - Exploit binary vulnerabilities, e.g., buffer overflows 💥
• Crypto - Break weak cryptographic implementations (lots of math!) 🔑
• Misc - Everything else that doesn't fit into the other categories 🦜

Even if you've never played a CTF before, there will be some easier challenges to get you started. 🧸 If you've participated in dJulkalendern before, you'll recognize the format since the challenges follow the same structure as the windows. If you want to start practicing now, there are plenty of past challenges in Säkerhets-SMs problem archive.

Earlier this year THS decided to limit our access to the garbage room. At the same time they also introduced a cleaning schedule for the garbage station behind META, where we usually throw away glass. Now it is our turn to keep it clean week 8 (17th-23rd). This doesn't mean we have to keep it squeaky clean but it is our responsiblity to keep the garbage inside of the garbage station and not outside of it. 😊

Due to issues with room reservations, the room for An Apply To Mottagningen-DM has been changed from Sektionsrummet to D41. I'm sorry that this information came out so close to the meeting time!

On the 17th of february, at 17:30, there will be a hearing of the candidates running for the position of student union council representative (kårfullmäktigeledamot). The candidates will first present themselves shortly, then they will take your questions. This will all take place in E33. Representing the chapter at the student union council is an important task, so be sure to stop by and ask your best questions.
