Do you like fika? 🍪 How does a whole fika-themed afternoon sound? ☀️

This Thursday (6th June) is Sweden's National Day 🇸🇪, which means the Baking Committee 🧁 and the International Committee 🌍 will be hosting a special Kafferep Picnic during the afternoon that you simply cannot miss: there will be loads of fun, a ton of free pastries, and even a tinge of Swedish culture! We'll be holding it outside, in Ugglevikskällan (a park near KTH), so it'll double as a pleasant picnic. 🧺

A kafferep is a kind of social gathering 👥 traditional in Sweden 🇸🇪 since the 1700s, involving cakes 🍰, etiquette 🤝, and a lot of fun 👽 — and, of course, our wonderful toastmasters will make this sittning-like picnic even more entertaining.

Are you in the mood to bake a truly traditional Swedish fika? 🍰 Then you're in luck. On the national day, the baking committee together with IN is organizing a kafferep and for that the classic seven kinds of cookies are needed.

Come and celebrate the upcoming summer with the CS sections own Project Pride and the LGBTQIA+ association at THS, Speqtrum! Our Hot Gay Summer Pub will be held on Wednesday the 5th of June at 17:17 in META. You'll be able to try our own amazing pride inspired drinks and dance to music from DJ Hyacynthia 🕺🪩There will also be a pride themed quiz where you will be able to win a nice prize (!!!).

Every Saturday from 2 pm to 3 pm we have booked KTH Hallen for the rest of the semester. This week (Saturday 25th) we will play badminton. I will bring 8 rackets that you can borrow but we'll rent more if we don't have enough. We have four courts and we play for 1 hours.

OBS: No one has booked the courts after us so we can play for more than 1 hour 🙂

I will try to vary the sports in the following weeks. And please come with suggestions for what we can do!!!

Organized in collaboration 🤝 with KTH's outgoing mobility office at EECS 🏛️ (who will be represented there), this pub is a unique opportunity 💎 to learn more about exchange studies 🔄 and life in other countries.

Whether you're looking for a more tropical destination ☀️🌴 or a healthy dose of culture shocks 🧧🐉, this is your chance to hang out with students who previously studied abroad, hear about their experiences ✨, ask questions ⁉️, and just mingle. You can also chat with an EECS International Coordinator about the process and how to apply 📝.

Hello Chapter!

Are you a chapter member currently in your fifth year of the program or second year of the master? Then you know as well as I do that all good things in this world must come to an end, and in this particular case it is yours and mine time on campus. Now that this end is approaching, it would certainly be nice to end it with a bang! 🎉 🎉

We are therefore a bunch of fifth-year students who are organising a graduation party where all students who are doing their fifth year at the computer engineering programme are welcome, regardless of whether you are graduating this year or are a little behind in your studies. Even those who are coming from the open programme or studying the second year of a computer science master's program are welcome to sign up for the party.

Naturally, this means that the International Committee 🌍 and the Equality Committee ️️️⚖️ will be hosting a grand watch party in META! 📺🎉

Join us for the grand finale at 20:30 with loads of free snacks! 🍪🍿 We'll be watching the performances, debating which songs are the best, and picking our own META Winner 🥇🏆 (which, let's be honest, is a much more prestigious honor than any the "official" jury could possibly give).

The event is held in Ugglevikskällan on the ** 18th of May**, from 2pm to 5pm, where all chapter members are welcome. There will be hot dogs 🌭, chips 🥔, soft drinks 🥤 and beer 🍺(<2.25 %) to buy, but otherwise it is BYOB. In addition to chilling out ⛱️, you will be able to compete for Data's most prestigious title - Kubbmaster! 😎 And if the honour isnt't enough, you might get a patch to brag about 😱

The CS Chapter is organizing its own 🕹️ game jam during approx. 1.5 weeks from May 3!

Friday May 3 live from META we’ll drop a theme, and we’ll hold a tutorial 🧑‍🏫 for the game engine Unity there at the same time

If you’ve never made a game before you can just show up then and you’ll learn 🧐 (with fika). As a Computer Scientist you already have the programming ability needed to make a game, and remember that this is all for fun and we encourage everyone to join! 🎉

The Directorate officially invites you to the motion-writing workshop of the period.

The motion-writing workshop is the best opportunity you have to discuss your motions before the Revisions-SM with the board. A motion that has been discussed at a motion-writing workshop has about a 19% higher probability of not being criticized to pieces by the board at the SM, so it is strongly recommended that you bring yours along.

This time, we will try a new format for the workshops, which is that they will be held in META. The board will sit and be available to discuss motions from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both Thursday May 2nd and Friday May 3rd.

Fika will be provided!

**Do you have boring or torn clothes? **How lucky that Projekt Groda in collaboration with Tag Monkeys will have its first-ever event, where you can spice up clothes with color and make your own punk badges to sew on!

What kind of event is it? 👕🎨🪡 Don't throw away clothes just because they're boring or torn, come and give them new life instead! Projekt Frog together with Tag Monkeys will have a cozy event where you can bring old or torn clothes to spruce them up! There will be the opportunity to paint and sew clothes 🪡 🎨 but also make your own punk badges to put on. And yes, of course there will be "fika"🍪🍩

But what is Project Frog? 🐸 In swedish it's called "Project Groda". It is a recently started sustainability initiative that aims to make the section greener. Our primary task is to review the section from a climate perspective, but we also want to make it easy for the section and for all of you to think more green.

**And what are Tag Monkeys? **🐒 Tag Monkeys is the Computer Section's craft committee that organizes fun craft events for everyone to attend. Sometimes they also hang out in META on Tuesdays together with QN.

What do you need to bring with you? Old, boring or torn clothes that you want fixed. And yourself of course
