After the week has elapsed, we will be printing out the final result and hang it up in META. It will also be available as a map item in the main server once it opens!

Welcome to Datas Danskväll (DDK)! On Monday the 27th of October we will continue with the dance evenings and we will focus on Bugg. The goal is for us data scientists to gracefully glide across the dance floor at balls. This will be the last opportunity to practice before the dJubileet, so join us!

On future occasions, we will also have the opportunity to learn salsa, chacha, rumba, foxtrot, jive, lindy hop, tango, slow foxtrot, and quickstep.

It is once again time for Konglig Datasektionen’s yearly CTF competition dJulkalendern! Do you have too much time to study? Exams to procrastinate for? Chapter-work to do some other time? Wonderful! Come and compete for the title Bäst på att DATA™!

A challenge is released every weekday in December (starting this friday!!!) before christmas eve at 12:15 CET. The challenges are cryptic puzzles, hacking and other computer science related things and your task is to solve as many of them, and as fast, as possible! The calendar has an intriguing story that unfolds as you solve each window.

The competition is individual, but a little while after a window has been released it is both allowed and encouraged to cooperate!

The winner receives the title Bäst på att DATA™. There is also an achievement patch for those who solve all windows and those who do it the quickest will receive dJulkalendern-themed T-shirts!

You can now already go to https://djulkalendern.se and solve the introductory window, -1, as well as make sure you understand the system and read the rules!

On the 12th of December at 17:30 in META, QN and DESC will hold the SICKEST Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament since spring 2023!!! Everyone from the Data and Media chapters is welcome and every chapter member can also bring one additional external participant (+1)! The tournament will be a double-elimination, which means if you lose two games you are out of the tournament (i.e. don't lose to win!). The matches themselves will be 1v1! The ruleset for the matches themselves are the standard tournament ruleset: https://www.ssbwiki.com/Tournamentrulesets(SSBU) DLC characters (exempting Steve) are allowed! Some Switches might not have all DLCs, bring your own Switch if you want to be sure. Controllers will be provided but bring your own controller if you do not want to risk having to use a joycon!

A Gurra Adde-DM will be held at 17:30 on the 6th of November in the Sammansträdesrum in Nymble. At the DM, the board will discuss guest membership for members of the Media Technology chapter and the ratification of multiple PC-decisions.

Glögg-SM will be held at 17:30 on the 5th of December in D1. The reserve time is 17:30 on the 7th of December. The motion deadline is the 20th of november and the board will hold a motionworkshop on the 14th of November. At the SM, we will discuss motions, propositions, and declare the results of the ballot box election for treasurer, chairman, and vice-chairman.

Did you miss Stadium Night Run or did you feel that it was not enough? Then there's another 5k very close to campus. Armada run is set to occur Friday the 3rd of November. This course consists of more tarmac and hard surfaces than the night rrun, which could be good considering the light conditions. The start will be at 16:45 and after the race there will be refreshments. According to the event page the event will conclude at 19:00.

On Friday 27/10 and Monday 30/10 after 17.30 there will be "preparing for Halloween" events in META with Tag Monkeys!

There will be sewing machines and some thread available to make a simple Halloween costume and there will be general Halloween-y materials available for arts&crafts.

OBS: If you want to make a costume, or a piece of a costume, you should bring your own fabric! Otherwise you are welcome to use any materials available.
