Arranged by the Social Equality Committee and sponsored by Google, the first ever Social Equality Hackathon will take place at KTH 5-6 February! This will be two days where participants will work in groups to come up with project ideas and make a prototype using code. We will offer a theme, food and prizes. Sign up to get a spot!

The objective is to come up with and work on a software project related to social equality. It can for instance be an app to help people with disabilities to navigate the world or a web page to highlight an inequality problem in society. The event takes place over two days. It will open with talks by speakers involved with software development within social equality and participants will work in groups of 3-4 people.
There is no requirement on experience to enter the hackathon, first years are very welcome. It’s meant to give you a view of the exciting social equality projects you could work with and to get experience with hackathons. If you’ve never been to one this is a perfect opportunity to try it out! There will be swag and prizes, but don’t let that deter you. It’s completely fine to just eat the food and work on your project even if you’re not aiming for that prize.

Under mötet kommer vi att ta beslut om samboendeavtalet som årligen upprättas mellan Data och Media. Samboendeavtalet tar upp allt som rör sektionslokalen META och hur gemensamma ytor och inventarier får användas av båda sektionerna. Avtalet upprättas varje år och nu är det alltså dags att teckna ett nytt som ska gälla under 2016. Det nuvarande avtalet kan läsas här. Handlingarna med den slutgiltliga agendan kommer innan mötet!
