It's time to close the year of 2024. Here comes the annual report and the financials for the year of 2024!

On the 17th of february, at 17:30, there will be a hearing of the candidates running for the position of student union council representative (kårfullmäktigeledamot). The candidates will first present themselves shortly, then they will take your questions. This will all take place in E33. Representing the chapter at the student union council is an important task, so be sure to stop by and ask your best questions.

On April 1, KTH and Akademiska Hus will be conducting a maintenance inspection of the Chapter’s facilities. Therefore, I and the rest of the Chapter would greatly appreciate it if you would take the time to write down any suggestions for improvements to our dear META. If there’s anything that needs fixing, adding, or a complete overhaul, please write it down. Everything will be forwarded directly to Akademiska Hus, and it’s rare that we get the chance to give feedback directly—so please make sure to respond!!!

Right now, applications for KL, THS Management team, are open. KL is a group of 11 KTH-students who take a study break to lead the operations of THS. Take the chance to make your mark on THS and KTH as well as having your best year at KTH!

It’s time for this year’s big volleyball tournament, BLUMS! More information and the ticket link (Google Forms in this case) will be shared in this event on Wednesday.

The ticket release is at 8:00 PM on January 29th at the pub. A link to the form where you can register for a ticket will be posted in the discussion section of the Facebook event. The event will take place at Stockholm Beach Club in Häggvik.

There are two types of tickets available:

Tournament Ticket: For those participating in the tournament (limited availability). Entry Ticket: For general admission. Ticket prices range between 200–250 SEK. If you’re joining the tournament, make sure to grab a tournament ticket! More details can be found in the event!

This Friday (31/Jan) at 17:30 we will meet in META for an exciting Speed Friending ⏱️🫂 event organized by the International Committee 🌍 and sponsored by the Study Board 🦉.

You will be matched into groups and race against the clock 🏃⏰ to (1) eat as much fika as possible 🍪 and (2) get to know each other 🤝, but, like, competitively. 😈

This is a great opportunity to make new friends from other cultures and learn about their countries, especially if you're planning on studying abroad in the future. 🛫 It is also very important for new international students to meet existing students to help them gain a sense of belonging!
