Vi kommer att på plats ha pärlor i regnbågens färger och förhoppningsvis en fungerande strykjärn som vi kan stryka pärlplattorna med.
Fika kommer som vanligt att finnas!
För er som inte vet vad pärplattor är så är det en platta som man kan lägga färgglada pärlor på. När man är klar kan man antingen avlägsna pärlorna från plattan eller bevara “plattinformationen” genom att stryka pärlorna genom ett bakplåtspapper så att de smälter ihop med varandra!

Nu på Revisions-SM den 29:e mars så kommer två val att hållas: ett val för vår nya post Bröllopskoordinator och ett fyllnadsval för Vårbalsgeneral. Båda är projektledarposter, och att anordna fest är kul så särskilt den här gången borde du nominera dig själv och alla du känner till båda posterna.

Det är viktigt att berätta att valet till Bröllopskoordinator blev lyst för sent. Enligt Styrdokumentet §5.1.4.1 så ska ordinarie val lysas senast 25 läsdagar innan SM, men valet lystes 21 läsdagar innan SM. Under Revisions-SM kommer alltså SM tillfrågas om de vill frångå stadgarna och gå vidare med valet eller inte.

Have you made a New Year’s resolution to do more coding outside of courses, use your skills for new projects, try to make something with a social impact this year, or to attend your first hackathon? Whether you made that resolution or not you now have a chance to do just that!
Arranged by the Social Equality Committee and sponsored by Google, the first ever Social Equality Hackathon will take place at KTH 5-6 February! This will be two days where participants will work in groups to come up with project ideas and make a prototype using code. We will offer a theme, food and prizes. Sign up to get a spot!

The objective is to come up with and work on a software project related to social equality. It can for instance be an app to help people with disabilities to navigate the world or a web page to highlight an inequality problem in society. The event takes place over two days. It will open with talks by speakers involved with software development within social equality and participants will work in groups of 3-4 people.
There is no requirement on experience to enter the hackathon, first years are very welcome. It’s meant to give you a view of the exciting social equality projects you could work with and to get experience with hackathons. If you’ve never been to one this is a perfect opportunity to try it out! There will be swag and prizes, but don’t let that deter you. It’s completely fine to just eat the food and work on your project even if you’re not aiming for that prize.
The spots for the event are limited so use this form to sign up to be sure you get a spot!

What is a hackathon?
A hackathon is an event where computer programmers get together and work on software projects. Participants work in teams on projects intensively between a day and a week. Coming up with a project is a part of the event. Since time is limited the projects usually only reach a first prototype stage with limited functionality. Hackathons commonly have a theme or uses a specific API.

No worries, the event will start with some short talks by engineers working on projects in this field. We will also have a premade list of ideas you can use as inspiration.
Can I choose my own group? Can I come if I don’t have a group?
Yes to both! You can decide the groups yourselves from the accepted participants. If you don’t have a group that’s also fine as there will be others to team up with. We encourage you to mix students from different years and with different experiences as that will help you when trying to come up with ideas!
Will there be swag for everyone and prizes for the winners?
Yes.
Do I need to bring a lunch box?
No, food and drink will be served on both days. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase in the evening.

Starts at 17:00 on Friday the 5th of February. Ends late on Saturday the 6th.
