Masdar Institutes introductory presentation

It is with the greatest of pleasure that we invite you to attend an introductory presentation of our university, Masdar Institute. Developed with the support and cooperation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Masdar Institute is a research driven university focusing on renewable energy and sustainable development. The university is located inside the world’s first carbon neutral, zero-waste ecocity, Masdar City in Abu Dhabi. The city will be powered solely by alternative energy, mainly solar energy.

In addition to its Ph.D. programme, the Masdar Institute offers seven 24-month Master of Science programmes as below:

MSc in Computing and Information Science
MSc in Electrical Power Engineering
MSc in Engineering Systems and Management
MSc in Materials Science and Engineering
MSc in Mechanical Engineering
MSc in Microsystems Engineering
MSc in Water and Environmental Engineering

Two additional MSc programmes – Smart Infrastructure and Green Chemical Engineering – are being considered. The focus of all the programmes is on renewable energy and sustainable development.

All successful applicants to the Masdar Institute are offered a scholarship which provides full financial support, including all tuition fees, laptops, medical insurance, housing, travel expenses, and a cost of living allowance.
