It's time for this year's big volleyball tournament, and this post is actually for the event itself (not the pub). More information and ticket links will be released in this event via blums.dkm.io which, at the time of writing, is not updated yet but will be by Wednesday.

Ticket release is at 8:00 PM on January 31st at the above link. The event will be held at Stockholm Beach Club in Häggvik.

There are 2 different types of entrance tickets, one for the tournament and one for general admission. These are priced around 200-250 SEK. If you want to participate in the tournament, you should buy a tournament ticket (which are limited!). More information will be available on blums.dkm.io and in the event!

Tagg BLUMS!!! Now it's time for the world's best beach volleyball tournament 🏐and for that we need to host an adequate party to celebrate such a ticket release. You are welcome now on Wednesday (31/1) when we open META:s doors for the first time (for DKM) this year for a Wednesday pub!🥳

Next Tuesday (30/Jan) during QN the International Committee will be hosting a special international-themed trivia competition inspired by the classic Swedish TV game show På Spåret! 🚂

There will be free fika 🍪 and pizza for sale 🍕, plus whoever is participating in the competition will get delicious toast 🍞 for free - and the winners will also receive a prize 🏅, of course. Regular QN board games 🎲 will also be taking place simultaneously, so you should come even if you're not sure if you want to participate in the comptition.

Welcome to a lunch lecture about working with diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace!

An introduction and case study together with Gunnar Risting from Purple Pill, a project developed by Gunnar, John Leijonmarck, and their colleagues, with the purpose of encouraging more men in the workplace to actively work with questions and issues regarding gender.

With its name being a reference to the Matrix metaphor of having the courage to see the truth and taking a stand, the Purple Pill initiative aims to include everyone in the fight against gender inequality.

This event is a collaboration between the Computer Science and Engineering Physics Chapters! Organized by Physics' Equality Committee JämN and Computer Science groups Jämlikhetsnämnden (Equality Committe) and Näringslivsgruppen (Business Relations Group)!

Welcome to the Lynx Hackathon! 💻

At the Lynx Hackathon, you will work in teams to create a fully systematic trading strategy based on real market data. Your algorithm will be evaluated in a virtual environment at the end of the event, allowing you to see how your idea would have worked in the real financial market. There will be investment professionals from our research and trading department at your disposal to answer questions and guide you through the process. After the event, there will be dinner and mingle at the office!

This is a chance to visit an unfamiliar chapter hall and meet Electro ⚡ MedTek 🩻 Media 🎥 and Data 🤓 students!

The gingerbread house building competition (17:30-18:30) requires cooperation, creativity, and speed and includes relay-race-like elements (why??- ✋Trust us). During week 49, a blank 128x128 canvas will be open, and anyone can build their masterpiece with a cooldown between each block. Bring all your friends and work together to create and defend your place in this historical moment! Everyone from the Data and Media chapters are welcome to participate at any time during the week, no matter if you are active in the student body or not.

After the week has elapsed, we will be printing out the final result and hang it up in META. It will also be available as a map item in the main server once it opens!

Welcome to Datas Danskväll (DDK)! On Monday the 27th of October we will continue with the dance evenings and we will focus on Bugg. The goal is for us data scientists to gracefully glide across the dance floor at balls. This will be the last opportunity to practice before the dJubileet, so join us!

On future occasions, we will also have the opportunity to learn salsa, chacha, rumba, foxtrot, jive, lindy hop, tango, slow foxtrot, and quickstep.

It is once again time for Konglig Datasektionen’s yearly CTF competition dJulkalendern! Do you have too much time to study? Exams to procrastinate for? Chapter-work to do some other time? Wonderful! Come and compete for the title Bäst på att DATA™!

A challenge is released every weekday in December (starting this friday!!!) before christmas eve at 12:15 CET. The challenges are cryptic puzzles, hacking and other computer science related things and your task is to solve as many of them, and as fast, as possible! The calendar has an intriguing story that unfolds as you solve each window.

The competition is individual, but a little while after a window has been released it is both allowed and encouraged to cooperate!

The winner receives the title Bäst på att DATA™. There is also an achievement patch for those who solve all windows and those who do it the quickest will receive dJulkalendern-themed T-shirts!
